Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

AFRY is looking for Electrical Design Engineers to join its Places segment in India, working on building and real‑estate projects in close collaboration with Swedish teams. The role offers an international environment, modern tools and the chance to contribute to sustainable urban development.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical and telecommunication systems for building projects.
• Prepare technical drawings, 3D models and documentation using CAD/BIM tools.
• Support projects from early design phases through detailed design and delivery.
• Perform technical calculations and system analysis.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with HVAC, architecture and structural engineering disciplines.
• Contribute to efficient, high‑quality project delivery together with Swedish teams.

Required profile

• Approximately 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or Electrical Consultant.
• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience on building and real‑estate projects.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD/BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and MagiCAD.
• Good knowledge of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, telecom and low‑current.
• Ability to work in an international project environment and strong English communication skills.
• Meritorious experience with Nordic/Swedish clients and knowledge of Nordic standards.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and BIM coordination processes.
