Principal Architect / General Manager

About the role

Burjline Builders is looking for an experienced Principal Architect / General Manager to head its Architecture, Design, Multimedia, Signage and Fit‑Out operations in India. The role blends deep architectural expertise with strong business leadership, overseeing project delivery and driving new market expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the India team covering architecture, design, BIM, signage, multimedia and project delivery.
• Oversee design and execution of F&B, retail, hospitality and fit‑out projects.
• Develop and mentor architects, interior designers, BIM specialists and other technical staff.
• Ensure projects meet time, budget and quality targets.
• Coordinate with Saudi‑based teams, clients, consultants and contractors.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities beyond group projects.
• Lead client presentations, proposals and negotiations.
• Establish design standards, workflows, quality controls and operational processes.
• Monitor profitability, resource allocation and overall business performance.
• Drive growth and expansion of the India operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 12+ years of experience in architecture, design or fit‑out sectors.
• Proven track record with F&B, retail, hospitality and commercial projects.
• Experience managing architectural or design teams.
• Strong knowledge of BIM, architectural design and construction documentation.
• Demonstrated business development and client relationship skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Preferably experience with GCC/Saudi projects.
