Director, Global Tax Compliance & Reporting

About the role

EY is seeking a Director to lead its Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) tax practice in Bangalore. You will shape the future state of tax functions for clients, combine deep tax knowledge with technology, and drive high‑impact market‑making activities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and convert Tax Function Optimization (TFO) opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership to plan and execute market‑making events such as webcasts and Wavespace sessions.
• Develop value propositions, present solutions, and create proposals for client pursuits.
• Design future‑state tax function roadmaps and guide implementation.
• Conduct current‑state assessments, process mapping, and improvement initiatives for tax delivery.
• Prepare internal leadership presentations and client‑facing materials.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA qualification.
• 8‑12 years of experience in tax, either within a tax function or selling tax services.
• Proven experience on the sales side of tax services and leading teams.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to ask insightful questions.
