Construction Manager – Power Transmission & Renewable Integration

About the role

The Construction Manager (PMC) will act as the site‑level execution leader and client representative, responsible for end‑to‑end construction management of transmission lines, substations (AIS/GIS/Digital) and renewable energy integration (solar, wind, BESS). The role requires multi‑disciplinary coordination across electrical, civil and I&C systems to ensure quality, safety and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day construction activities for substations up to 765 kV, transmission lines and renewable integration infrastructure, ensuring work follows approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Structural and I&C heads to resolve site‑level engineering issues, manage RFIs/TQs and ensure seamless integration of grid‑connected solar, wind and BESS projects.
• Work with Project Controls to track progress against L2/L3 schedules (Primavera/MS Project), implement recovery plans and produce regular progress reports.
• Enforce quality management systems, conduct inspections, FAT/SAT, and close NCRs in line with IEC, IEEE and client standards.
• Maintain a zero‑incident safety culture, oversee PTW, risk assessments, toolbox talks and lead incident investigations.
• Manage stakeholder and contractor relationships, conduct coordination meetings, obtain approvals and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred) and PMP certification.
• 15+ years of experience in power transmission, substations and renewable energy projects, with proven PMC/Owner’s Engineer experience on large‑scale infrastructure.
• Strong exposure to EHV/UHV/HVDC systems (up to 765 kV), AIS/GIS substations and renewable integration.
