Senior Plant & Machinery Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Plant & Machinery Engineer to lead the inspection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a fleet of construction equipment on site. The role ensures maximum equipment availability, compliance with safety procedures, and effective coordination with users and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and commission equipment according to site requirements.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of the equipment fleet, including scheduled and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare and manage maintenance activity lists to ensure timely completion.
• Plan inventory and guarantee high equipment availability.
• Conduct technical training for O&M agency crews and equipment users.
• Coordinate with equipment users to resolve operational and maintenance issues.
• Adhere to all safety procedures during P&M operations.
• Document and implement maintenance checklists for all plant and machinery equipment.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 6 years experience) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 9 years experience) in operations and maintenance of construction equipment.
• Experience in large construction or contracting companies, preferably in oil & gas or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong knowledge of safety and quality policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for contractual matters.
