Construction Engineer – CHO Projects MEP

About the role

The Construction Engineer will support CHO Projects MEP by managing equipment data, coordinating crane and rigging activities, and ensuring seamless integration of mechanical assets with civil foundations. The role involves close collaboration with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to guarantee safe and efficient installation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain an equipment database with key parameters (dimensions, weight, ETA, vessel type, location).
• Review equipment drawings, verify base plate details against civil/structural drawings, and raise SERs for discrepancies.
• Create and review sketches for non‑standard templates, packer plates, and calculate material requirements.
• Validate foundation bolt sizes, pitches, BCD, and grout clearances before concrete casting.
• Estimate scope of work for template preparation, packer plate cutting, and equipment erection, and raise purchase requisitions.
• Inspect received equipment for transit damage, guide contractors on safe custody of accessories and spares.
• Study approved rigging schemes for heavy and super‑heavy lifts and coordinate preparatory works with contractors and other agencies.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6‑8 years of relevant experience, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 14‑16 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of equipment manufacturing codes, standards, and lifting equipment.
