Sales Executive – B2B Sales Role in Chennai

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Sales Executive to drive B2B sales growth in Chennai. You will identify new business opportunities, manage existing customer accounts, deliver product presentations, prepare quotations and close sales while coordinating with internal teams for timely order fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads and pursue new business opportunities through regular out‑call and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Maintain and grow existing revenue streams through strong account management and long‑term relationship building.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain and Customer Service to achieve business objectives.
• Use effective questioning and listening to understand customer application requirements and maximise cross‑selling of the full product range.
• Prepare and follow up sales quotations, documenting all activity in the CRM.
• Maintain accurate customer records and opportunity management in the CRM.
• Adhere to pricing, order entry and lead‑time policies while using Essentra’s internal systems.
• Participate in team briefings, communicate regularly with team leaders and contribute to projects and team activities.
