Project Manager – Telecom & Resource Management

About the role

Virtusa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead client‑facing telecom projects, covering both Time & Material/resource augmentation and outcome‑based engagements. You will act as the main liaison between Virtusa and the client, ensuring smooth team ramp‑up, delivery excellence, and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, vet, and onboard talent based on client requirements.
• Plan and execute Training Academy batches to upskill developers and testers for billable roles.
• Integrate augmented staff into client workflows, tools, and methodologies.
• Monitor resource utilization to avoid burnout or under‑utilization.
• Manage project progress, deliverables, budgets, and timelines for T&M and staff‑augmentation contracts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, including hourly rates and NTE clauses.
• Serve as primary point of contact for daily/weekly client communication, providing transparent reporting on utilization, progress, and costs.
• Address performance issues and implement improvement plans in collaboration with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in telecom or related technology services.
• Strong ability to coordinate between internal teams and external clients.
• Experience driving training initiatives and onboarding large talent pools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
