Procurement Manager – Interior Fit-Out

About the role

Echelon, a division of Freshview Interiors, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function for interior fit‑out and construction projects in Chennai. The role ensures that all materials and services are sourced at the right quality, price and schedule, collaborating closely with project, design, estimation and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle from material requirement to delivery at the project site.
• Review BOQs, specifications, drawings, material schedules and project requirements.
• Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors and service providers.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors across India.
• Obtain and analyse quotations, prepare comparative statements and obtain management approval.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, work orders and subcontract orders.
• Coordinate with project managers and site teams to understand project‑wise procurement needs and maintain procurement schedules.
• Track material production, dispatch, transportation and delivery status to avoid project delays.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors and logistics providers.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, bulk procurement options and value‑engineering alternatives.
• Ensure purchased materials comply with approved specifications, brands, samples and quality requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delays, shortages or incorrect deliveries.
• Maintain proper procurement documentation including RFQs, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, invoices and delivery challans.
• Support the QS/Commercial team with cost analysis, procurement savings, variations and project profitability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement for interior fit‑out or construction projects.
• Ability to manage the full procurement cycle and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Familiarity with the Indian supplier market and logistics landscape.
• Detail‑oriented approach to ensure compliance with specifications and budgets.
