Maintenance Specialist

About the role

ABB is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to lead the maintenance and preservation of equipment, production lines, and facilities within its Motion business for the High Power division in Vadodara, India. You will ensure optimal technical and financial performance while supporting safety, environmental, and ISO compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment and production lines.
• Collaborate with production teams to define and implement preventive maintenance plans.
• Maintain and update critical spare‑parts inventories.
• Manage technical documentation for equipment, utilities, and facilities.
• Resolve major technical issues to improve line performance.
• Propose and lead improvement projects that reduce maintenance downtime and enhance energy efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies, breakdowns, and malfunctions to minimize production disruption.
• Implement health‑and‑safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE usage.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards.
• Support environmental goals by monitoring OEE, power factor, leak management and lubrication practices.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning and spare‑parts management.
• Familiarity with ISO compliance, health‑and‑safety regulations and environmental initiatives.
