Linux Administrator – System Support for Telecom

About the role

Ericsson’s team provides system administration support for multiple telecom service providers worldwide, covering Linux, Solaris, AIX and related automation technologies. The role focuses on ensuring high customer satisfaction and maintaining high uptime of the technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support Linux and Ansible activities for one or more telecom service providers.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver required services.
• Maintain system uptime and address performance, capacity and troubleshooting issues.
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies, sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Linux administration experience in a medium to large, process‑oriented global IT environment.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6/7/8), performance tuning, capacity planning and security best practices.

Required skills

• Linux (RHEL) administration, LVM, filesystem management, SELinux, firewall/iptables.
• Network services configuration: NFS, Squid, DNS, Apache, FTP/SFTP, NTP, SMTP.
• Red Hat PCS clustering, VMware virtualization basics.
• Automation with Ansible playbooks, Shell scripting.
• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Backup and recovery scheduling.
