Legal Consultant – Indian Legal System & AI

About the role

LexEdge AI is seeking seasoned legal professionals to join its product and AI teams as Subject Matter Experts on the Indian legal system. You will help shape AI‑driven legal solutions by providing domain expertise, validating outputs, and ensuring alignment with real‑world practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of Indian legal procedures, statutes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Review and validate AI‑generated legal content, research, drafting, and compliance features.
• Assist in designing legal workflows, templates, and knowledge bases for the platform.
• Identify practical use cases for automation and contribute to feature planning.
• Participate in testing, quality assurance, and product validation activities.
• Collaborate with product managers, AI engineers, and development teams to improve accuracy and usability.

Required profile

• LL.B. / LL.M. or equivalent qualification.
• Current or former practicing lawyer, legal consultant, researcher, compliance professional, or academic.
• Strong understanding of Indian legal procedures, statutes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to explain legal concepts clearly to technical teams.
• Interest in legal AI, technology, and digital transformation.

Required skills

• Experience with legal software, legal databases, or AI tools (optional but preferred).
