Junior Welding Engineer (TIG/Orbital) – Aerospace

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Welding Engineer to join our Multi‑modal Manufacturing Facility in Pune. The role focuses on TIG and orbital welding of aerospace‑grade stainless steel and Inconel components, supporting both defence and commercial aviation supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG and orbital welding of tubes, air manifolds, sheet metal parts, and ducts using SS321 and Inconel 625.
• Repair defective stainless steel and Inconel castings.
• Assemble welded products and ensure compliance with drawing, SOP, and MOS specifications.
• Read, interpret and analyse engineering drawings, manuals and technical documents.
• Maintain high safety standards and personal integrity throughout all activities.

Required profile

• Diploma with a minimum of 2.5 years welding and fabrication experience.
• AWS D17.1 certification for the 6G position with II A & III B materials.
• Proven ability to produce X‑ray quality Class B welds on SS321 and Inconel 625.
• Experience in the aerospace or aviation manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Required skills

• TIG welding of stainless steel (SS321) and Inconel 625.
• Orbital welding techniques.
• Use of welding positioners, bevellers, rollers and 3‑D welding tables.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of AWS welding standards and certification processes.
