About the role

The Lab IT Support Engineer provides technical support and maintains IT infrastructure within laboratory environments. This role ensures availability, reliability, security, and performance of lab systems, workstations, servers, network devices, and specialized applications that support research and testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain laboratory computers, laptops, printers, scanners and peripheral devices.
• Support Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and standard enterprise applications.
• Monitor lab servers, storage systems and network connectivity, and troubleshoot hardware, software, network and application issues.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to laboratory users, diagnosing incidents within defined SLAs.
• Implement security policies, patches, antivirus solutions and endpoint protection; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory, participate in change management and technology refresh projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support or laboratory IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and networking fundamentals.
