FIU Analyst – Financial Crime Investigation (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) at MoonPay protects the platform from money‑laundering and terrorist financing. As an FIU Analyst you will analyse large volumes of transaction and blockchain data, identify suspicious patterns and support the preparation of regulatory reports.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise transaction‑monitoring and blockchain‑analytics tools to independently assess activity that deviates from a customer’s expected behaviour.
• Review blockchain wallet screening, KYT alerts and on‑chain investigations to flag risk indicators.
• Conduct open‑source searches on customers, counterparties and related transactions.
• Prepare clear alert dispositions and draft Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) within established SLAs.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in financial‑crime or compliance investigations, preferably in AML transaction monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with blockchain analytics solutions and SAR filing.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail in a fast‑moving environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
