Financial Controller

About the role

Carnot, a Mahindra‑backed agri‑tech leader, is seeking a Financial Controller to act as a strategic finance business partner. You will support leadership with financial insights, commercial analysis, and operational finance excellence across its fast‑growing technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to drive strategic and financial decision‑making, working closely with Sales, Operations, Product and senior management.
• Conduct pricing analysis, profitability assessments, margin improvement initiatives and revenue modelling.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and monitor performance against targets.
• Prepare management MIS, dashboards, variance analysis and business review presentations.
• Oversee monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit, taxation and statutory compliance.
• Enhance finance processes, automation and reporting systems.
• Interface regularly with senior stakeholders and present financial recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience in IT, ITES, SaaS, technology startups, consulting or other high‑growth organisations.
• Background in Business Finance, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Pricing or Finance Business Partnering.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
• Professional qualification: CA or CMA from a recognised institute.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, Oracle or NetSuite.
