Finance Officer – CSR Projects

About the role
The Finance Officer will lead the financial management of CSR‑funded projects within ARAI‑AMTIF’s incubation and innovation ecosystem. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from proposal development and funding acquisition to implementation, monitoring, reporting and impact assessment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end CSR project finances, including budgeting, fund flow monitoring, variance analysis and audit readiness.
- Identify and pursue CSR funding opportunities aligned with mobility, sustainability and technology innovation.
- Draft compelling proposals, concept notes and grant applications for corporate donors, foundations and government schemes.
- Engage with CSR heads, corporate donors and government bodies to present programs, showcase impact and build long‑term partnerships.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial planning meets funder expectations and statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Section 135 of the Companies Act, CSR Rules and Schedule VII activities.
- Prepare and present financial and impact reports, dashboards, MIS and utilization certificates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support outreach, events and communication strategies to increase visibility of CSR partnerships.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably in startup, incubation or innovation environments.
- B.Com, BBA, M.Com, MBA, MSW or equivalent degree; CA or CMA qualification is a plus.
- Prior experience managing CSR projects is mandatory.
- Proven ability to present financial performance, impact narratives and proposals to senior donors.
- Strong understanding of startup ecosystems, innovation acceleration and sector‑specific CSR priorities.
Required skills
- Deep knowledge of CSR laws and compliance (Section 135, CSR Rules, Schedule VII).
- Expertise in drafting CSR proposals, concept notes and grant applications.
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Familiarity with startup funding mechanisms, public‑private partnerships and government incubation schemes such as SISFS, MSINS and DST.
