Power Economist

About the role

The Power Economist will support a major power and energy project in Hyderabad, Sindh, providing economic analysis, resource planning, and policy evaluation. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the project delivers financial and economic value.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct economic and financial analyses of the project, calculating Benefit/Cost ratio, IRR, and NPV.
• Prepare and interpret sensitivity analyses to assess project robustness.
• Review project reports with a focus on pricing and economic aspects.
• Estimate project benefits and financial rates of return.
• Assist the client in maintaining budgetary and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide insights on transmission line and grid station economics.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the energy or power sector.
• Proven experience in a consultancy environment delivering large‑scale energy projects.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
