Entity Accountant – Finance (Hyderabad)

About the role

The EMEA and APR controlling departments support Eastman's finance organization, covering more than $5 billion in revenue across manufacturing plants and sales offices. We are looking for an Entity Accountant to join our team in Hyderabad, India, and help manage the general ledger accounting for Eastman businesses in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts in accordance with US GAAP and applicable local GAAP.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes, including quality reviews.
• Prepare and ensure the accuracy of statutory financial reports.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as auditors as required.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP and related international accounting standards.
• Support strategic initiatives across the organization.
• Adhere to relevant quality, environmental, health and safety management system requirements.

Required profile

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• High level of accounting knowledge with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and independent judgment skills.
• Proactive, flexible mindset with a "can‑do" attitude.
