Driver HR Head – Logistics & Transport

About the role

We are seeking a Driver HR Head to lead the driver workforce strategy for our logistics and transportation operations in Gurgaon. The role combines HR leadership with deep expertise in driver recruitment, onboarding, welfare, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end driver manpower planning, recruitment and onboarding across locations.
• Develop hiring strategies to ensure timely availability of trained drivers.
• Oversee verification processes including licence, police, medical fitness and statutory documentation.
• Design and implement driver welfare, retention, engagement and reward programmes.
• Monitor driver attendance, deployment, absenteeism, attrition and productivity.
• Coordinate with operations and fleet teams for driver allocation and route management.
• Drive safety initiatives, accident reduction measures and defensive‑driving training.
• Handle disciplinary matters, grievance management and employee relations for the driver workforce.
• Develop SOPs and policies related to driver management and transport HR operations.
• Review MIS reports on manpower, overtime, utilisation, accidents and compliance status.
• Lead audits and ensure statutory and client compliance readiness.
• Manage contractor and vendor workforce compliance related to drivers.
• Build a performance‑driven, disciplined driver culture across operations.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑management capability.
• Excellent knowledge of transport HR operations and labour compliance.
• Expertise in driver workforce handling and fleet coordination.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in logistics, mobility, transport or related sectors.
