Data Scientist – NLP

About the role

Deloitte India is seeking a Data Scientist specialized in Natural Language Processing to join its Information Technology team. You will work with cross‑functional experts to build cutting‑edge AI solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement state‑of‑the‑art NLP algorithms and models to extract insights from large textual datasets.
• Preprocess and clean textual data, performing feature engineering such as word embeddings, n‑grams and syntactic features.
• Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and conduct rigorous testing and validation.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to integrate NLP solutions into production systems.
• Stay current with the latest research in NLP and Generative AI, applying innovative methods to real‑world problems.
• Analyze model results, visualize findings and communicate actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Document methodologies, findings and insights in clear reports for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Strong background in natural language processing and machine learning.
