Cyber Security Specialist (Proxy & Secure Access)

About the role

This hybrid position seeks a Cyber Security Specialist with five to eight years of experience in proxy implementation and secure internet and remote‑access platforms. The role protects enterprise traffic using Zscaler Internet Access, Zscaler Private Access, Palo Alto Prisma, Cisco Umbrella and Cisco VPN, ensuring resilient connectivity for global operations while supporting rotational shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise secure web proxy solutions to safeguard enterprise traffic while maintaining high performance.
• Configure and manage Zscaler Internet Access policies to control web usage and reduce exposure to malicious content.
• Administer Zscaler Private Access for seamless, VPN‑free remote access to internal applications.
• Implement and fine‑tune Palo Alto Prisma configurations to secure cloud workloads and enforce consistent policies.
• Operate Cisco Umbrella controls to block threats at the DNS and IP layers.
• Configure and support Cisco VPN solutions for hybrid workers, monitoring performance and reliability.
• Monitor security events across proxy, Zscaler, Prisma, Umbrella and VPN platforms, prioritising incidents and supporting remediation.
• Collaborate with network and application teams to integrate security controls with minimal disruption.
• Develop and maintain rule sets, policies and configuration standards to reduce drift.
• Create technical runbooks, knowledge articles and support internal audits and compliance checks.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of hands‑on experience in proxy implementation and secure traffic handling in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience with Zscaler Internet Access, Zscaler Private Access, Palo Alto Prisma, Cisco Umbrella and Cisco VPN.
• Ability to monitor and analyse security events, conduct root‑cause analysis and document findings.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance checks and creating runbooks or knowledge articles.
