About the role
The Culinary Associate works in the hotel kitchen to prepare, cook, and present food according to Marriott’s quality and safety standards. This full‑time position supports the culinary team in delivering consistent, high‑quality meals for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, and peeling fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients for recipes and cold food preparations.
- Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, testing for doneness and quality.
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation throughout preparation.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen environment.
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of related food‑service or kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
