Corporate Legal Officer

About the role

People Tech Group is seeking a Corporate Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal support across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. The role involves managing litigation, drafting contracts, and advising internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Handle civil and criminal litigation, coordinate with external counsel and manage court proceedings.
• Draft, review and vet contracts, agreements, legal notices and corporate policies.
• Provide legal advisory on corporate, commercial and regulatory issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, statutory regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Maintain legal documentation, case records and filings.
• Liaise with government authorities, legal bodies and regulatory agencies.
• Support internal stakeholders with legal risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Assist in immigration-related processes, including visas and compliance documentation.
• Manage dispute resolution, arbitration and legal negotiations.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.

Required profile

• LLB or LLM from a recognized university.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate legal functions.
• Strong experience handling civil and criminal cases.
• Good exposure to contract management and legal compliance.
• Basic understanding of immigration laws and processes.
