Corporate Counsel, Devices - Digital Legal

About the role

Amazon is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Devices legal team, supporting products such as Echo, Fire TV Stick, and Kindle. Based in Bangalore, the counsel will work on a wide range of legal, commercial, technology, privacy, compliance and regulatory matters for Amazon's devices and digital businesses across India and select Southeast Asian markets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to the devices business on commercial and technology transactions.
• Support strategic initiatives, key deals, and the launch of new products.
• Collaborate with local and global legal teams, as well as external counsel.
• Manage privacy, compliance, and regulatory issues related to device offerings.
• Assist with cross‑functional projects and ensure alignment with corporate policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• 7+ years of in‑house legal or law‑firm experience, preferably with technology and commercial transaction exposure.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong judgment, independence, and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
• Team player with excellent relationship‑building skills.
