About the role

The Collection Manager – Used Cars leads the collections function for a defined rural territory, overseeing both internal teams and external agencies. The role is focused on maximizing EMI recovery while complying with bank and legal guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end collections process for assigned debt portfolios.
• Track portfolio performance by bucket and days‑past‑due (DPD) to identify delinquency trends.
• Control delinquency levels, focusing on non‑starter accounts and high‑risk buckets.
• Allocate targets to agencies and in‑house teams and monitor achievement.
• Conduct regular follow‑ups with defaulting customers and ensure adherence to collection procedures.
• Trace absconded defaulters, initiate recovery actions, and recommend legal steps for unrecoverable cases.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, including delinquent account history, MIS reports, and collection feedback on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline.
• Relevant experience in collections or debt recovery.

Required skills

• Proficiency in preparing and maintaining MIS and administrative records.
