Collection Manager – BIL, Personal Loan & MBL

About the role

The Collection Manager will plan, organize, direct and oversee the collections department, managing both in‑house teams and external agencies. The role ensures efficient recovery of EMIs, compliance with bank guidelines, and contributes to the bank’s overall objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute the collections process for debts assigned to the portfolio, ensuring timely recovery of EMIs.
• Regularly track portfolio buckets for the assigned area, monitoring delinquency by bucket and days past due (DPD) to identify risk.
• Allocate targets and drive achievement for both external agencies and the in‑house collection team.
• Conduct regular follow‑ups with defaulting customers, including tracing absconded defaulters and initiating recovery actions.
• Ensure strict adherence to collection procedures and legal guidelines throughout the recovery cycle.
• Recommend legal action for non‑recoverable cases and coordinate with the legal department to close such cases.
• Maintain accurate administrative data, update delinquent account histories, and generate MIS reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Required profile

• Graduate – any discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in collections.
