Associate – Corporate & International Tax (Transfer Pricing)

About the role

PwC’s Tax Services team helps clients navigate complex tax regulations, offering advice on corporate income tax, international taxation and transfer pricing. As an Associate you will support businesses in structuring cross‑border transactions, ensuring compliance and minimizing dispute risk.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical research on domestic and international tax laws, OECD publications and internal knowledge bases.
• Analyse and interpret provisions of the Income Tax Act, tax treaties and related regulations such as FEMA.
• Advise clients on corporate tax matters including permanent establishments, anti‑avoidance rules and double tax treaty applications.
• Support pre‑ and post‑acquisition tax advisory work, group restructuring, due‑diligence and documentation reviews.
• Prepare memoranda, presentations and legal arguments for litigation and appellate proceedings.
• Assist with ongoing compliance tasks such as income‑tax returns and TDS calculations, leveraging delivery centre teams and tax technology tools.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0‑2 years of relevant experience, or a commerce graduate with comparable experience.
• Strong knowledge of direct tax, corporate tax (Income Tax & DTAA), corporate law, international tax and FEMA.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
