About the role
The Area Sales Manager – Retail will lead the sales effort for the Lucknow region, driving business growth and achieving targets in partnership with the Regional Head of Sales. You will ensure compliance with sales processes, collaborate with risk and operations teams, and support profitability through performance management and channel optimisation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute area sales strategies to meet or exceed set targets.
- Coordinate with the Regional Head, Risk, Operations and Sales Governance teams to maintain portfolio health.
- Identify and address under‑performance, implement process improvements and optimise channel efficiency.
- Provide hands‑on support to team members on complex cases and exceptions.
- Drive cross‑selling of ABHFL and ABFSG products according to regional plans and client needs.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in retail sales management, preferably within financial services or housing finance.
- Strong understanding of risk and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop a sales team.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
