Zonal Head – Retail Operations & Business Development (South & West)

About the role
The Zonal Head will lead retail operations, sales performance and business development across the South and West zones. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be accountable for top‑line growth, store productivity and expansion initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Own topline and bottom‑line performance for all store formats (EBO, FOFO, COFO, COCO) in the assigned zones.
- Drive sales growth, same‑store sales, conversion rates and average ticket size.
- Monitor inventory health, sell‑through, ageing and replenishment at store level.
- Define, implement and continuously improve retail SOPs across formats.
- Ensure compliance with visual‑merchandising standards, brand guidelines and customer‑experience norms.
- Implement promotional calendars and track execution.
- Lead business development activities: identify new market opportunities, evaluate feasibility, negotiate with franchisees/investors and coordinate store openings.
- Manage cross‑functional collaboration with merchandising, marketing, supply chain, finance and HR.
- Oversee governance, statutory compliance, reporting and MIS accuracy.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in retail operations and business development (AGM/DGM level or equivalent).
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing multi‑store portfolios.
- Excellent analytical ability to assess store performance, inventory metrics and ROI.
- Demonstrated capability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
- Effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills with franchise partners.
