Windows Administrator

About the role

TCS is looking for an experienced Windows Administrator to join its Chennai team. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Windows server environments across multiple data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019.
• Manage VMware infrastructure, including VM deployment, cloning and vMotion.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy and DNS services.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell and batch scripts for automation.
• Oversee antivirus solutions and security patch management.
• Implement vulnerability management and server hardening practices.
• Utilise monitoring and management tools such as BMC, McAfee, Chef, Tanium, Nagios, Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Support cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS, OpenStack) as required.
• Perform server performance analysis and root‑cause investigations.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of hands‑on experience in Windows server administration.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
