Software Engineer

About the role

PayPal is seeking a Software Engineer to join its global technology team. In this role you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of payment solutions that serve millions of merchants and consumers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Implement tasks across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) under guidance from senior engineers.
• Follow PayPal’s internal coding standards, conventions, and best‑practice procedures.
• Apply internal standards to make informed technical decisions.
• Collaborate with peers, managers, and project leads to understand requirements and review solutions.
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and security.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of relevant software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to work within a structured SDLC environment and adhere to established processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
