Video Editor – Social Media & L&D

About the role

Global University Systems (GUS), an international education group, is hiring a Video Editor for its Marketing department in Pune, India. The role is fully remote and supports the production of high-volume social video content for several educational brands and internal teams, including reels, agent training videos, staff training and short-form marketing content. It is advertised as a consultancy agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Produce clear instructional videos and interactive learning materials for agents and internal teams, combining screen recordings, captions, visuals and voiceover.
• Create short-form social videos from scripts and briefs using Canva templates and platform best practices.
• Deliver batches of videos efficiently, following templates, repeatable workflows and brand guidelines.
• Maintain and update Canva templates (layouts, subtitles, graphics, assets).
• Export videos in the correct formats and ratios for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, email, LMS platforms and internal training hubs.
• Work with copywriters, designers and stakeholders to incorporate feedback quickly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, Digital Media or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics, with a portfolio of short and long-form content.
• Experience creating social media video content and advertisements; previous work in a creative agency or fast-paced marketing environment is highly advantageous.
• Native or near-native English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Available occasionally for in-person meetings, estimated 1-4 times per month.

Required skills

• Canva video editor (required)
• Basic knowledge of Premiere Pro or CapCut (preferred)
• AI voiceover generation experience
• Understanding of social media video formats and ratios, subtitling and captions, screen recording and simple motion graphics
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
