Urban Designer

About the role

Arup is seeking Urban Designers to join its growing London and India teams. You will work on a diverse portfolio of international projects, ranging from strategic growth plans and master‑planning around infrastructure to the regeneration of complex urban sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine urban design concepts for large‑scale projects.
• Produce storyboards, drawings, graphics and analytical presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Support master‑planning and strategic growth initiatives.
• Utilise GIS and analytical tools to inform design decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture (RIBA Part 2 or equivalent); Master’s in Urban Design preferred.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong visual communication, presentation and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
