Upwork Business Development Executive (Bidder)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Upwork Bidder / Business Development Executive to join our technology company that delivers mobile apps, websites, SaaS products and AI automation solutions worldwide. The role will focus on identifying high‑quality Upwork projects, creating tailored proposals and turning qualified leads into successful contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Search for and select relevant Upwork projects in app development, web development, SaaS and AI automation.
• Write customized, compelling proposals with strong opening hooks that address client requirements.
• Research client businesses, existing products and technical needs before submitting proposals.
• Communicate with prospects via Upwork messages, qualify leads and schedule meetings or calls.
• Track proposals, responses, interviews and conversion outcomes.
• Collaborate with development and sales teams to provide accurate technical and commercial responses.
• Continuously refine proposal strategies based on performance metrics.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years of experience in Upwork bidding, lead generation or business development.
• Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Strong written English with the ability to craft personalized, human‑sounding proposals.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Upwork platform.
• Understanding of mobile app development technologies such as Flutter, Android and iOS.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks like React and Next.js.
• Knowledge of backend development, APIs, SaaS architecture and AI automation concepts.
