Unix/Linux Consultant – Identity & Access Management

About the role

We are looking for a Unix/Linux Consultant to manage identity lifecycles and access control across our enterprise environments. The role involves handling L1/L2 tickets, creating change requests, and providing on‑call support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage identity lifecycles: provision, modify, and de‑provision user and service accounts on Unix/Linux systems.
• Develop and maintain Bash or Python scripts to automate provisioning, access requests, and routine audits.
• Conduct regular user access reviews to ensure audit compliance and remediate unauthorized permissions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2/3 authentication issues, SSH failures, and privilege escalation problems.
• Define, audit, and maintain Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) models and Unix file‑system permissions.
• Create and process change requests related to access management.
• Provide on‑call support during weekends and maintain 24/7 coverage as required.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of Unix server administration.
• Experience with shell scripting and Unix command line.
• Ability to handle L1/L2 tickets and escalations.
• Familiarity with identity lifecycle management and access governance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for authentication and permission issues.
• Willingness to work on‑site and be on‑call during weekends.
