Test Support Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Test Support Maintenance Technician will establish and maintain product test processes and equipment for Tata Electronics' semiconductor foundry. This role ensures that test equipment operates reliably, supports production quality, and contributes to continuous improvement in a high‑tech manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, debug, and accept new test equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment and test processes to support production.
• Draft and update work instructions, procedures, and technical files.
• Develop test processes aimed at reducing cycle time and improving yield.
• Create training material and conduct operator training.
• Perform downtime analysis, issue tracking, and implement contingency plans.
• Apply quality tools such as Cpk, GR&R, PFMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Manage spare parts, calibration, and preventive maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Diploma, BE/BTech, BCA or BSc in Electronics, Mechanical or related field.
• 2 to 15 years of experience in test equipment maintenance or similar role within electronics manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and debugging abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Test equipment installation and debugging.
• ICT programming and fine‑tuning.
• Quality tools: Cpk, GR&R, PFMEA, Lean Six Sigma.
• Preventive maintenance and calibration of test systems.
• OEE, MTBF, MTTR analysis.
• Test software configuration and ECN/ECO management.
