Equipment Technician

About the role

Tata Electronics Private Limited is building India’s first AI‑enabled semiconductor foundry. The Equipment Technician will support the production line by maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting a range of high‑tech machines to ensure continuous, high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, Reflow and AOI equipment.
• Perform SMT machine maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and spare‑part management.
• Control machine tossing, manage spare inventory, and oversee new product development, CPK and GRR studies.
• Install and align new machines, conduct bring‑up activities, and ensure all stations meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with line engineers, managers and supervisors to achieve 100% on‑time delivery and zero‑defect production.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure tools and equipment are ready for use.

Required profile

• Diploma holder with a minimum of 3 years’ experience handling manufacturing equipment.
• Strong analytical mindset for breakdown analysis and process improvement.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams on a daily basis.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SPI, Fuji, GKG printer, Reflow and AOI machines.
• SMT machine maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and spare‑part management.
• Machine installation, alignment, and bring‑up activities.
• Fuji Mounter programming and cycle‑time reduction techniques.
• Breakdown analysis, troubleshooting and repair skills.
