Test Automation Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and extend test frameworks and infrastructure, including system‑level regression and smoke tests.
• Build automated tests and performance test plans using tools such as Selenium Grid, Appium, WebDriver, Locust, BrowserStack and Postman.
• Create custom testing applications in Java or Python and ensure automation minimizes fragility through architectural patterns.
• Develop and execute mobile test automation for offline functionality.
• Assess code changes through reviews, break down features into story tickets, and distinguish test errors from application errors.

Required profile

• Clear communication of feature intent, impact, and value, with working knowledge of at least one Appian subsystem.
• Ability to break down features into story tickets, identify edge cases, technical risk, and troubleshoot defects to a single module.
• Proactive in surfacing blockers, prioritising work, and contributing to technical artifacts and healthy debate.
