Technical Project Manager – GitHub Cloud Migration

About the role

Capco is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead a comprehensive migration of GitHub from on‑premises to the GitHub Cloud. The role combines deep technical knowledge of GitHub, DevOps, cloud platforms and security with strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of the GitHub migration program, defining strategy, roadmap, milestones and migration waves.
• Coordinate technical, security, infrastructure and application teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Manage risks, dependencies, issues and change requests while ensuring robust project governance.
• Drive migration testing, cut‑over, validation and post‑migration stabilization.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in technical project management, preferably in migration or transformation projects.
• Hands‑on experience managing complex migration initiatives.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Strong risk, dependency, issue and change management skills.
