IT Support Specialist – Tier 1/2 (Chennai)

About the role

The IT Support Specialist will work in a Tier 1/2 environment, directly interacting with end‑users and handling tickets through the incident management system. You will perform first‑level troubleshooting, document resolutions, and collaborate with higher‑level support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user calls and tickets, providing detailed troubleshooting and documentation.
• Administer user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
• Support on‑premise conferencing equipment and run hardware/software performance monitoring.
• Train end‑users on hardware functionality and software applications.
• Maintain system security, update security tools, and record all troubleshooting activities.

Required profile

• College diploma in an IT program; certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE or MCP are favorable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a large enterprise technical support role.
• Self‑motivated, strong initiative, integrity, and a team‑player attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and customer‑service training.
