Team Member - Branch Audit

About the role

The Branch Audit Team Member will support the execution of the audit strategy and plan across multiple branches. This role ensures that risk management, internal controls, and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations are thoroughly assessed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing audit strategies and risk‑based audit plans for branches covering compliance, legal, fraud, operational, third‑party, liquidity, financial, people, and reputational risks.
• Execute branch audits in line with internal audit standards, legal and regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Conduct thematic and specialised reviews of areas such as vendor payments, general ledger controls, regulatory reporting, customer service, procurement, and facilities management.
• Review application controls within branch management information systems to evaluate automated business process controls.
• Provide oversight of external audit firms when engaged for branch audits.
• Prepare clear, actionable recommendations to improve policies, processes, and controls.

Required profile

• Experience in internal audit, risk assessment, or related compliance functions.
• Strong understanding of audit standards, regulatory frameworks, and internal control concepts.
• Ability to analyse complex processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Effective communication skills for reporting findings and recommendations.
