Finance Manager (Payments)

About the role

The Finance Manager – Payments will oversee treasury, cash management, and regulatory compliance for payment‑related operations. You will ensure timely funding, accurate accounting, and adherence to RBI and GST guidelines while supporting process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and renew Fixed Deposits (FD) for NDC, maintain documentation and accounting entries.
• Process NDC funding requests within T+3 and manage supporting schedules.
• Initiate and monitor daily fund movements between collection and escrow accounts, maintaining maker‑checker controls.
• Track prefunding levels, trigger top‑ups, and produce daily MIS to avoid transaction failures.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for all PPI‑linked accounts and resolve variances.
• Post journals, accruals, reversals, and inter‑account transfers in SAP, ensuring GL hygiene.
• Book interchange/fee income, manage payment uploads, and apply correct TDS/GST implications.
• Prepare Bills of Supply, validate GST on interchange income, and support monthly GSTR filings.
• Prepare RBI quarterly escrow certificates and maintain compliance evidence.
• Maintain maker‑checker controls, generate regular MIS, and support internal/external audits.
• Drive automation of reconciliations, SAP templates, and standard SOPs.

Required profile

• Strong background in treasury, cash management, and payment operations.
• Hands‑on experience with daily fund movements, prefunding monitoring, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficiency in accounting and regulatory compliance, especially RBI escrow requirements and GST filing.
• Ability to maintain robust controls, audit trails, and produce detailed MIS reports.
• Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
