Team Leader – Corporate Banking & MNC Portfolio

About the role

The Team Leader will drive the growth of the multinational enterprise (MNE) business in Mumbai, deepen existing client relationships, and onboard new multinational corporations (MNCs) from Pune and other locations. The role combines relationship management, credit structuring, and cross‑selling of a broad suite of banking products.

Key responsibilities

• Build and expand the MNE business in Mumbai while managing a portfolio of MNC clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, lawyers, chartered accountants, venture capitalists, and private equity firms.
• Identify and pursue FDI/Fx opportunities in the New Economy vertical (start‑ups, tech firms, etc.).
• Advise clients on funding strategies, select appropriate bank products, and ensure maximum ROI for the bank.
• Originate deals, structure financing, obtain credit approvals, and implement solutions across treasury, debt capital markets, syndications, corporate advisory, investment banking, and corporate finance.
• Monitor client financial performance and expand share‑of‑wallet through cross‑selling.
• Ensure smooth transaction delivery by coordinating with operations and maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (including FEMA).
• Lead the Escrow product segment, drive process efficiency, digitisation, and agreement vetting.
• Evaluate credit/risk profiles and design structured, project, off‑balance‑sheet, and acquisition financing solutions.
• Mentor and develop Relationship Managers, set performance objectives, and oversee recruitment, retention, and training.

Required profile

• 10–14 years of experience in corporate banking, escrow services, or related financial solutions.
• Proven track record managing MNC portfolios and driving growth in assets and liabilities.
• Strong understanding of credit, asset, and liability products, as well as FDI/Fx transactions.
• Experience in deal origination, structuring, and credit approval processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with consultants, legal advisors, VCs, and PE firms.
• Leadership experience in people management, performance evaluation, and team development.
