Tax Specialist – Finance (Corporate & International)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Tax Specialist to lead tax compliance, planning and international tax matters for a global broadband networking company. The role involves ensuring accurate tax reporting, supporting overseas entities and advising on tax‑efficient strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file income tax, TDS, GST and other statutory returns.
• Manage tax compliance for overseas subsidiaries, support new entity set‑up and determine transfer pricing.
• Develop tax planning strategies to minimise liabilities while remaining fully compliant.
• Stay current with tax laws, regulations and rulings; interpret and apply them.
• Represent the company during tax audits, assessments and litigations, including filing appeals and responding to notices.
• Maintain organized tax records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, legal and other functions to gather data for accurate reporting.
• Conduct internal compliance reviews, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Handle cross‑border tax issues such as double taxation agreements, foreign tax credits and transfer pricing.
• Assist in developing tax‑efficient business strategies aligned with corporate objectives.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of tax experience, including 1‑2 years in manufacturing or a Big Four tax function.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, international taxation, GST, Income Tax, Company Laws, IND AS, RBI and FEMA regulations.
• Excellent verbal communication, presentation and team‑building abilities.
