Tax Consultant II – German Tax Compliance (Hyderabad/Bengaluru)

About the role

Deloitte Tax Services India is seeking a Tax Consultant II to support German tax compliance for individual taxpayers. The role involves preparing tax returns, handling client inquiries, and collaborating with teams in India, Germany and the wider Deloitte network.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and support German tax compliance activities, including individual tax returns of varying complexity.
• Monitor client information, manage setup and coordination of the compliance process.
• Identify and document issues, prepare client queries and respond to technical questions in coordination with the engagement team.
• Maintain and update trackers and status reports for internal and external reporting.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate delivery and exceptional client service.

Required profile

• Full‑time Bachelor of Commerce, MBA or equivalent degree with 60%+ marks.
• 2‑5 years of experience in tax compliance, individual tax return preparation, or related support services.
• Experience managing compliance workflows, client information and status tracking.
• Ability to document issues, prepare client queries and respond to stakeholder questions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, accounting principles and willingness to work the 11 AM‑8 PM IST shift.
