Tax Consultant II – Australian Tax Services (Hyderabad)

About the role

Deloitte Tax Services India is seeking a Tax Consultant II to support Australian tax engagements for Deloitte member firms. Based in Hyderabad, you will work on compliance, reporting and data‑analysis projects that help global clients navigate complex tax environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Australian corporate tax returns, ensuring alignment with accounting trial balances and financial statements.
• Assist with tax effect accounting, deferred tax calculations and the preparation of tax position papers.
• Coordinate with on‑shore Australian teams to resolve queries and deliver required documentation.
• Draft transmittal letters, engagement documentation and client invoices.
• Perform data analysis and reporting using tools such as Tableau and Alteryx.
• Review trust distribution calculations and support process‑improvement and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance or a related field from a reputable university.
• 1‑3 years of experience working on Australian taxation.
• Strong accounting knowledge and analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
