Tax Analyst – State & Local Tax Audit

About the role
Amazon is looking for a Tax Analyst to join its State & Local Tax (SALT) Audit team in Hyderabad. You will support sales and use tax audits, work on indirect tax projects, and help manage audit and controversy matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review responses to audit inquiries and information requests.
- Retrieve, analyze, and document data required for audits and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to drive process‑improvement initiatives.
- Assist in managing statutory credits, incentives, FAS5 filings, and unclaimed property compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in a large public accounting firm or a multinational corporate tax department.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office (advanced).
- Python, SQL, Alteryx, or Amazon QuickSight (at least one data‑focused technology tool).
