Tax Accountant – Corporate Tax Compliance

About the role

Join StanCorp Global Services India to manage corporate tax compliance and accounting functions, ensuring the company meets all federal, state, and local tax regulatory requirements while preparing financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and statutory accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare income, premium, sales & use, and property tax returns, as well as small C‑corporation and partnership returns.
• Calculate and record premium, sales & use, and property tax accruals and support guarantee assessments for various tax authorities.
• Research newly promulgated tax issues, draft formal memoranda, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with federal, state, and regulatory audits by responding to examiner requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of accounting and tax experience (or equivalent education/experience).
• Preferred: CA Articleship experience.
