Talent Partner

About the role

Essar Capital is rebuilding its human capital function and seeks a Talent Partner to design and execute the hiring strategy for its investment and professional services teams. This role works closely with senior leaders, from Investment Directors to the CHRO, to attract and secure top talent that will manage billions of dollars and drive marquee transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business heads to translate hiring needs into detailed candidate profiles and sourcing plans.
• Build and maintain a living talent pipeline across investment, finance, legal, compliance, and techno‑commercial functions.
• Map talent in target organisations such as investment banks, PE/credit funds, Big‑4 firms, consulting houses and Tier‑1 corporates.
• Develop and nurture relationships with high‑potential candidates, industry experts and recruitment agencies.
• Own the end‑to‑end candidate experience, ensuring a professional and consistent interaction with the organisation.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in talent acquisition or executive search, preferably within investment, finance or professional services.
• Background in an executive search firm, investment bank, PE/VC fund or financial services conglomerate is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to independently manage senior‑level, complex hiring mandates.
• Strong academic credentials (MBA/PGDM or equivalent undergraduate degree with notable achievements).
